A couple thousand years ago, roughly, Jesus was born to earth and taught of the love, hope, and peace of God.  Two thousand years is a long time and the stories and ideologies get twisted.  Now, roughly 2000 years after the death of Christ, there are militant groups, even within our own military, who claim to follow Christ, but who seem to oppose all that Christ stood for.  They not only use military weapons, but military tactics such as psychological operations, or "PSYOP," and psychological warfare (PSWAR).   Don't get confused and think they even closely resemble anything that Jesus taught.

Jesus was a man of peace who preached to turn the other cheek.  He preached and practiced feeding and caring for the poor.  Were he alive today, he would most probably be on the side of universal health care.  Teabaggers and other Republicans would be calling him a Commie Socialist and would be trying to have him deported.

The military members of this Christian Right movement use PSYOP and PSWAR tactics against their fellow Americans who do not believe as they do.  If you oppose them, they'll use the tactics on your friends and family.  They are every bit the brood of vipers that Christ called the Pharisees.  Their goal is control, power, and dominance.

These people use the message that their ideology is the only way to enter the kingdom of heaven.  It's what drives them to continually harass people until they confess the name of Jesus.  What they're really leading their followers and others to is the torment of hell both here and in the afterlife.

What they teach isn't self control.  It's rabid restriction and bondage... the very bondage that Christ died to free us from.  It isn't liberty, but the removal of liberties.  They are after legally enforced restriction of the right to the pursuit of happiness.  In fact, this group is so into the suffering aspect of their brand of Christianity that they would probably make smiling illegal if it were in their power.  In fact, if an adult smiles or waves at a child, these people are likely to deem him a child molester... one of their favorite catch phrases.

The depravity isn't in the minds of others, but in their own sick, distorted minds.  Everywhere they look they seem to see Muslim terrorists, child molesters, enemies of the state, Communists, Socialists, Marxists, and any number of other terrors which they have conceived in their minds.  They want to restrict everything to keep people "safe."  Who is going to keep people safe from them?
