THANKS TO ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED!! How to go live!!
We are now filling up July's calendar. NO Thursdays are open due to that always being Game night.
We preferably do the following days/nights...Friday and Saturday and Sunday nights. In order to accomodate outside the U.S. we do have some Saturday and Sunday afternoons since they are about 5-6 hours ahead of us over there!
All you need is a web cam and a microphone. Headsets are allowed but for great sound quality it is better to have an exterior microphone unless your headset has the proper settings. Any web cam will do. Most have built in microphones and if using a real mic you will need to disable the web cam's mic so you dont have feedback and a major echo!!
Now putting you on the homepage....
You can either use your own live feed web site such as Stickam, LiveVideo, etc. All free or you can simply log into the house account I have made for both of them.
Just let me know!!
As far as music, you can either use SingSnap or your own cdg's or any other online karaoke website. If you are in a band, I highly recommended that you use a usb mixer and room mics to absorb the loudness of performing live. For live bands, DO NOT use the web cam microphone as it will not be able to handle all of the sound properly (been there - tried it!)
It is best to have your set list ready and waiting before going live. What this means is lets say you are using SingSnap to sing on. Have multiple windows with each song already loaded and ready to go sitting on your task bar, this is a really good idea for older computers which might not have less then 2 gigs of ram. It will keep your show seemless and running smoothly.
When using Stickam or LiveVideo be sure to keep the video quality settings at about half way to prevent lock ups and freezing.
For all that are interested, get with him for a test run and we can work all the details out before the show so you are ready to go. I hope this answered a lot of your questions and helped. It seems difficult but it is really easy but a word of warning....it is addictive!!
All events are to be put through me and not booked by yourself. This enables me to broadcast your show and get your audience together. I recommend that all that are interested in going live in June to watch the shows this month to get an idea on how they work. All shows are broadcasted on our home page and promoted the morning of the show and about an hour before through broadcast enail to all members by me.
At this time the best nights are Saturday but they fill up fast so please be sure to get with me right away if interested in performing live in July as this month is already spoken for!
Please see the events calendar and be sure to attend some of the shows to get a better feel for the go live experience. It is fun and a great time is just about guaranteed.
We also welcome other forms of entertainment, comdians, craft makers, pc tips and tricks etc as well as singing.

Just so you know, each performer will speak to me prior to going live for help so dont hold back not setting your date because you havent yet, I do that once your show is booked and usually the day of your show I speak to you all.
