Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul is to be honored by
grassroots activists as the first Civil Rights leader of the 21st Century.

Paul's website says regarding racism:

"The collectivist mindset is at the heart of racism. Racism is simply
an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly
as members of groups rather than as individuals. Racists believe that
all individuals who share superficial physical characteristics are
alike: as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups."

Paul has raised more money in the 4rth quarter than his opponents yet
has not been able to break through the 10% barrier in the first couple
contests of the GOP nomination process. This is largely because of a
corporate media blackout.

As it stands now, the two frontrunners Mike Huckabee and John McCain
are not financially viable to compete on Super Tuesday without
millions of dollars of free media to propel them. Mitt Romney can
continue to self finance his campaign if desired.

Paul, already financed through Super Tuesday, which is February 5th,
may find himself with another windfall in a couple weeks.

Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich endorses Congressman Ron Paul,
suggesting he may be exactly what the US administration needs.

Kucinich said the libertarian- leaning Republican can provoke debate on
important issues to help America strengthen its position.

When asked who he would choose as his running mate if nominated, the
Democrat mentioned Ron Paul describing him as a person of integrity,
vision, and courage.

He then pointed to the glass etching of the American eagle in the US
House of Representatives and said the administration is also in need
of two wings to fly, a right wing and a left wing.

Kucinich said his foreign policy is very similar to that of Ron
Paul's, adding that he does not want his party to just represent
unilateral politics.

Democrat candidate Dennis Kucinich, who opposed the war authorization
bill five years ago, has repeatedly warned against launching a
military attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ron Paul in 2nd Place in West Virginia

...but he needs YOUR help to win.

As of Nov. 25, Ron Paul is currently in 2nd place in West Virginia, behind only Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney, who are tied for first. Ron Paul trails Thompson and Romney by a mere 13 delegates. He leads Giuliani by 3, McCain by 40, and Huckabee by 43.

What are these "delegates"? A delegate is basically a vote. West Virginia determines it's Republican primary winner by delegates who attend the GOP state convention on Feb. 5, Super Tuesday. Each delegate represents a candidate of their choice. At the GOP state convention, the delegates cast their vote for President, and only their votes count. Whichever candidate gets a majority of the delegates to vote for him wins the state.

The good part is, YOU (yes you) can become a delegate. The only 2 requirements are you must be a registered Republican and pay a $25 filing fee. Then, you can drive to Charleston on Feb. 5 to cast your vote for Ron Paul. Not a registered Republican? No problem. You can switch party affiliations up until November 30 and still become a delegate. (You can always switch back after the convention.) Not able to make it to Charleston? No problem. If you can't make it, you can select an alternate to go for you. Can't afford the $25 filing fee and/or gas to get to Charleston? No problem. There is a fund set up to help mobilize Ron Paul delegates. Furthermore, transportation can be arranged.

If you were holding off on filing to become a delegate, I urge you to do so NOW. The deadline to file is November 30. We still need a massive amount of delegates in EVERY West Virginia county, except Pendleton and Pleasants Counties.

BECOMING A DELEGATE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANY MONEY YOU COULD GIVE TO RON PAUL OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU COULD DO FOR HIM AT THIS POINT. For those who don't believe we can win West Virginia -- we can -- but we need every Meetup member, every Ron Paul supporter in the state to do this 1 thing.

As you can see from Ron Paul's current standing, we are in a great position to carry West Virginia. The whole nation of Ron Paul supporters must shine a BRIGHT LIGHT on their trickery, unfair and corrupt practice of changing registration deadlines to exclude the supporters of a candidate who is advancing exponentially while their CFR puppet sycophant candidates wane. If we don't become loud squeaky wheels, other corrupt GOP leadership will close their primaries and move up deadlines all around the nation to keep us from restoring the U.S. constitution.
 
Write a letter to the 10 main newspapers in New Hampshire and express your outrage in a letter to the editor!!!!!!! The CFR doesn't control ALL media and it is possible the TRUTH
may reach a large number of readers before FRIDAY, October 12th.
Those of you who can afford it should overnight your letters or at least priority mail them to get them there quickly and to have them be taken more seriously.
 
Use your own words but it would make the letter reach more democrat voters if you include the fact that Obama and Clinton are both active members of the Council on Foreign Relations and are therefore dangerous to our constitution and national sovereignty.
The phone numbers are listed here too. We don't want to clog their lines and make them hate Ron Paul, so my advice is to limit phone calls to a quick check to see if they received your overnight mail or registered letter.
 
This must start with YOU and it must happen NOW. NOW GET UP AND FIGHT! Our freedom, constitution and nation are at stake. The first 6 listed are the largest most important papers if you don't want to print out 10 copies of your letter.

The head of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission declined to investigate reports that phone companies turned over customer records to the National Security Agency, citing national security concerns, according to documents released on Friday.

FCC Chairman Kevin Martin turned down a congressional request for an investigation as a top intelligence official concluded it would "pose an unnecessary risk of damage to the national security," according to a letter National Intelligence Director Michael McConnell sent to Martin on Tuesday.

Intelligence officials "support your determination not to initiate an investigation," McConnell wrote to Martin.

At issue are reports last year that some big telephone companies allowed the U.S. government access to millions of telephone records for an antiterrorism program.

The reports have prompted scrutiny by the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Democratic Rep. Edward Markey, the chairman of a key Energy and Commerce subcommittee, asked Martin to investigate.

In his response, Martin included Tuesday's letter from McConnell. A representative for the FCC declined further comment.

Markey, of Massachusetts, said McConnell's stance was "unsurprising given that this administration has continually thwarted efforts by Congress to shed more light on the surveillance program."

"I believe the agency could conduct its own examination of such reports in a way that safeguards national security," Markey said in a statement.

The Energy and Commerce Committee also asked AT&T, Verizon Communications and Qwest Communications International on Tuesday to describe how U.S. government agencies sought to obtain information about customer telephone and Internet use.

Washington, DC:  Congressman Ron Paul of Texas recently introduced the "Sunlight Rule," which would radically change the way Washington does business-- for the better.  As Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis famously stated, "Sunlight is the best disinfectant."  Congressman Paul proposes to shine a bright light on the House of Representatives and restore integrity to that institution by putting an end to the outrageous practice of voting on huge spending bills that have not been read.

The Sunlight Rule changes the actual procedural practices of the U.S. House of Representatives.  It requires all bills to be made available to members of Congress at least ten days before a vote.  The Rule also allows ordinary citizens to publicly censure their Representative if he or she votes for a bill brought to the floor without the ten-day review period. 

While it might amaze many Americans to know that members of Congress virtually never read the bills they pass, it's a common practice.  Many bills are thousands of pages long and contain thousands of spending earmarks.  Since most bills are never read except by their actual authors-- often staffers or even lobbyists, not the elected Representatives themselves-- the opportunities for taxpayer abuse are enormous.

"Average Americans often wonder how so much pork-barrel spending happens in Washington, and why it can't be stopped," Paul stated.  "One big reason is that most members of Congress have no idea what's really in the bills they pass.  The latest budget vote is a perfect example.  We voted at 4 in the morning on a huge bill that wasn't even finished until midnight.  Nobody could have read it.  It funded thousands of pet projects and earmarks.  Is this any way to vote on a budget that spends 2.7 trillion dollars?"

"That's why I introduced the Sunlight Rule, to let Congress actually read the bills they pass," Paul concluded.  "It's the least they can do with your money."

Early this year when Dr. Ron Paul announced he would form a presidential exploratory committee to test the waters for a possible run for president, Aaron Russo was one of the first people to call and offer support, encouragement and help.

I never met Aaron Russo in person, but talked with him several times by telephone.  His commitment to the freedom movement and his commitment to see Dr. Paul be elected our next president was unwavering; even while he was undergoing treatment for cancer.

Thank you Mr. Russo.

Not all the media are biased.  A local newspaper in New Hampshire reported on an annual GOP bbq in the town of Hollis.  It could be called "the Ron Paul show," they said, since the far bigger crowd that usual consisted mostly of our supporters.  One volunteer even rented an airplane and flew a wonderful sign around the sky.  What great, creative, self-starting people I'm meeting, at every stop, all of them united by a love of America and American freedom.

Politics is usually about division.  But this campaign is just the opposite.  Not only are our volunteers a bunch of happy warriors, but they also practice the virtues of tolerance and peace, just as they want the nation to do.

The other day, the state chairman of an opposing campaign (not in New Hampshire!), angrily tore a sign out of one of our supporter's hands and trashed it.  Different people with different beliefs might have responded differently.  But our people, though they'd been standing in the rain all day, applied the Golden Rule.  It's because of quiet heroes that I know we can change this country.

A reporter in New Hampshire told me this story about Florida:  she had seen the same three supporters working every day passing out our literature, and so decided to interview them.  She was startled to discover that one was a Republican, one was a Democrat, and one was an Independent.  But I wasn't.

Freedom brings us all together. We can all agree on leaving people alone to plan and live their own lives, rather than trying to force them to obey at the point of a gun, as runaway government does.  Instead of clawing at each other via the warfare-welfare state, people under liberty can cooperate in a unity of diversity.

There is no need to use government to threaten others who have different standards, or to be threatened by them.  Looking to our Founders, our traditions, and the Constitution, we can build, in peaceful cooperation, a free and prosperous society.

At a talk show in Nashua, New Hampshire, the host asked me about the fair tax.  Well, I agree on getting rid of the IRS, I told her, but I want to replace it with nothing, not another tax.  But let's not forget the inflation tax, I said.

This was something she had never considered, but after I talked about the depreciation of our dollar by the Federal Reserve, its creation of artificial booms and busts, and its bailouts of the big banks and Wall Street firms, to the detriment of the average person, she loved it.  That is another tax, she agreed, a hidden and particularly vicious tax.

They try to tell us that the money issue is boring or irrelevant.  In fact, it is the very pith of our social lives, and morally, Constitutionally, and economically, the central bank is a disaster. Thanks to the work of this movement, Americans are starting to understand what has been hidden from them for so long:  that we have a right to sound and honest money, not to a dollar debauched for the special interests.

Unconstitutional government has created a war crisis, a financial crisis, a dollar crisis, and a freedom crisis.  But we don't have to take it.  We don't have to passively accept more dead soldiers, a lower standard of living, rising prices, a national ID, eavesdropping on our emails and phone calls, and all the rest.

We can return to first principles, and build the brightest, most brilliant future any people on earth has ever aspired to.  Help me teach this lesson.  Help me campaign all over this country, in cooperation with our huge and growing volunteer army.  Help me show that change is not only possible, but also essential.  Please, make your most generous contribution (https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/) to this campaign for a Constitutional presidency worthy of our people.
